**Snowstar nods.** Good. First, we'll review the warrior code. What must come first?**She knows Torquepaw knew this; she wants to see if he remembers.**

*Riggatpaw gently pads into the training area.* **Twingetail padded in after his apprentice, taking in the other cats' training periods with a glance. Walking to Riggatpaw's side, the tabby mentor looked down at him.** Riggatpaw, you can learn much from watching and learning. I want you to observe the cats in this clearing and gain what knowledge you can from them. **He leaned closer to talk into the young cat's ear.** Especially Snowstar. She's very talented. **Settling down, Twingetail watched the training with slitted eyes, keeping his attention partially focused on the apprentice at his side.**

*Riggatpaw lies down near his mentor. fealing the sun on his back, he feals contented. Half closing his eyes he rests, as well as watches. He sees many fighting, as well as some learning the code. Fealing happy, the young cat scannes the small clearing for training.*
OOC:Better? By the way, I haven't read the books, yet.

OOC: Sorry for my lack of attendance over the last couple of days, guys. I got sidetracked. But I'll try to be more consistant in the future. *Stickpaw was slightly taken aback from the sudden ferocity of the attack, but he thought quickly and sidestepped Fallenclaw's blow. The dark brown tabby tom takes this precious moment and tries to run what would be his claws if they were not sheathed along his mentor's side.* BIC: **Fallenclaw gave a fierce, sharp meow of delight as she whirled to face the wiley apprentice. The blow struck her across the shoulder, for she had turned enough by the time his paw was reached out that it missed its mark.** Good! Swiftness and quick wit.. Always good qualities. **Without further note or ado, the sleek brown she-cat swung a well aimed paw for Ashpaw's shoulder.**

((Oh...)) ** Snowstar gives Torquepaw a worried look.** No answer? Well, here it is: Rule number one of teh code- the CLan comes first. Repeat.

*Stickpaw steps to the side, not getting the full blow, the paw just hitting the brown tabby fur. He quickly aims a light blow to his mentor's head and ducks down, watching her with round eyes to see her next attack.*

OOC: Riggatpaw, try to put more description into your posts. Avoid one-liners. For example, when you posted like this--
--there's so much more you could've added, for example:
*Riggatpaw nods at his mentor and lies down beside him, feeling their fur brush. Scanning the small clearing, he watched with intent concentration as the two pairs of mentors and apprentices practiced in the shady training arena.*
Or something like that. Go back and modify your post, and try to expand it, 'kay? Also, what I said about watching the cats in this clearing goes for their RPing as well; you can learn much from them.

*Stickpaw steps to the side, not getting the full blow, the paw just hitting the brown tabby fur. He quickly aims a light blow to his mentor's head and ducks down, watching her with round eyes to see her next attack.* OOC: That was an awkward strike, Stickpaw.. It seemed very much like an auto-hit, so just be careful. BIC: **Fallenclaw crouched swiftly, avoiding the blow smoothly, though it brushed the tips of her ears. The lithe she-cat sprang without hesitation for the apprentice. In his position, he should be easy to tackle successfully this time..**

OOC: I said he aims a light blow to her head, not that he aims a light blow to the head, as if he tries to, and doesn't actually hits her. Sorry if it was the wrong wording.
BIC: *Stickpaw tries to roll away, but Fallenclaw catches him with full force and he is knocked back into his former position.*

OOC: Much better, Riggatpaw! That's what I wanted to see. Your spelling was a little off, but your length was very good. We'll begin training when Fallenclaw and Stickpaw are done. 'kay?
BIC: **Twingetail watched the young apprentice out of the corner of his eye. This being his first apprentice, the skinny warrior wanted to do everything right. Satisfied that Riggatpaw was paying attention, he focused on Fallenclaw and Stickpaw's fight, trying to pick up any techniques: even a warrior can still learn.**

OOC: Okay. Now I understand. It just seemed to appear like it could be either way. Alright, Stickpaw. As your official mentor I believe that it is my job to instruct you in the ways of warriordom to my best knowledge. That also includes assisting you in RPing. You need to lengthen your posts. I can't stand one-liners. I understand that it can be difficult to post descriptively while fighting like this; but I am here to challenge you, not hand over the fancy certificate and trophy. So this time, I want you to try describing things like your character's breathing. Is he tired, energized? Is he thirsty or sore of limb? What is he thinking at the moment? Not all of these are necessary to be added into one post, of course. But if you select one or two to insert, it will help your RPing. I want you to bring out your character's personality. Is he brazen and out-going? Shy and more timid? Reserved and wise? Or more impetuous and spirited? Everyone will need to do their best to improve in their RPing for the upcoming New-Leaf Festival. The Festival will provide opportunities for ShadowClan to claim honor and prizes.. But they will not be simply for the taking. We will need to work hard to earn them.BIC: **Fallenclaw gave a sharp sigh and smiled grimly as she grounded the younger cat. Her chest heaved, and she sucked in a gasp of air to fuel her straining muscles. Her rich brown paws, pressed into Stickpaw's shoulder-fur. Still caught up in momentum, the powerful she-cat kept her weight firmly against her opponent as she pinned him neatly on the dusty earth. She was cautious to also keep her hind legs steady and placed firmly.**
