*Rushfoot brushed lightly against the tall grass as she walked. Sssh! A bunch of the flaky white snow fell to the ground with a plop. The warrior pinned her ears against her head in embarrassment, cringing slightly. She hoped that she hadn't scared all the prey in the vicinity. The slightly plump feline continued to walk onward, chin tilted upward slightly, tail waving behind her regally, a desperate attempt to regain composure. Being the only warrior in the group, she had to look experienced. A cold winter breeze carried the scent of prey. Mouth watering slightly, Rushfoot dropped into a hunter's crouch. She placed her paws carefully, moving forward with careful slowness. A white lump, barely distinguishable against the snow, was hopping along in a carefree manner a few tail-lengths in front of her. Rushfoot's amber eyes flashed. She pushed off her back paws and sprang towards the hare, landing heavily in the snow. Her quarry darted off, but the she-cat pursued, focusing all of her strength into her legs. The hunter and the hunted ran down a hill, where the cat pounced and killed the hare.*
*The tortoiseshell climbed back up, but as soon as she did, a strong gust of wind nearly shoved her back down. She dug her paws into the ground and braced herself against the sudden driving snow. Once Rushfoot had gotten over the hill, her way back towards the apprentices was much easier. Her eyes stung from the icy precipitation, but still she had her fellow WindClanners in sight. The warrior trudged through the snow as quickly as possible, and by the time she reached her patrol, the wind had died down a little bit.* Crazy weather, *she mewed to her companions around the prey in her mouth.*
